As we continue to grow, we are looking for the right candidate to join the Retail Sales and Design team in our showrooms located in Chicago's River North Design District; proudly featuring Italian designed and manufactured cabinetry from Snaidero USA, Plain and Fancy custom cabinetry out of Dutch Country Pennsylvania and Italian closets, wardrobes, furnishings, sliding doors and glass partitions from MisuraEmme and Glas Italia.

We are seeking an Interior Design Assistant to join our professional team. We are a fast paced business working with high-end clientele in a boutique showroom(s).

Overall job duties would include working alongside the Senior Designer to manage projects, client proposals, price out product, communicate with logistics, and oversee installation of products. As well as perform a detailed analysis of orders submitted by dealer(s) to guarantee functionality of the design.

Main Responsibilities:

• Create detailed plans, elevations, drawings; using AutoCAD
• Order and expedite projects, track progress, manage client and vendor expectations
• Work internally as the lead order processor for our dealer network; factory liaison
• Track and maintain listing of processed and in progress orders
• Create proposals, purchase orders and invoices
• Assist Senior Designer with client meetings, drawings and pricing
• Source new materials and finishes
• Keep incoming price lists and new sources organized

In showroom responsibilities to include:

• Opening and closing of showroom
• Greeting all who walk through
• Answering phones
• Maintaining and accessorizing showroom displays

Qualifications:

• Degree in related field with a rigorous design education and ability to space plan
• 1-2 years experience; strongly prefer experience working on kitchen/bath interior design projects
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD as well as proficiency with Sketch-Up, Photoshop, other design software as required
• Dependable and punctual
• Professional demeanor
