Director of PCAIN
The Director of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana (PCAIN) serves as a catalyst by raising awareness, providing information and education to families and communities in Indiana. The Director of PCAIN is responsible for oversite of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, program, grants, and projects including leading and monitoring the strategic direction of the program.
The Director of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana will:
- Assist in the creation, development, and support of PCAIN network chapters
- Display and promote cultural competence and diversity in interaction with all internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in the development and management of the PCAIN Annual Budget
- Assist in the development and coordination of the agency’s marketing to increase community awareness of services provided by and mission and goals of PCAIN and The Villages of Indiana
- Keep abreast of changes in state and national child abuse and neglect trends and prevention practices to adjusts messaging, training, and education efforts accordingly
- Direct and manage PCAIN staff including interviewing, assessing, and selecting the right applicant for the position, assigning tasks, annually evaluating work performance, and conducting terminations
- Participate in child advocacy groups and task forces
Position Requirements:
- Master’s degree in social work or related field
- Minimum of five years supervisory or management experience
- Experience in writing and managing grants
- Familiar with community agents
- Strong marketing skills
- Experience in designing and implementing educational programs
