We’re looking for an amazing Director, Compliance Officer, Environmental to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle office. You’ll be responsible for supporting the Holland America Group Compliance Officer Environmental (COE). Ensuring the continued execution of day-to-day compliance support while implementing a company-wide Environmental Compliance Plan. Reports to the VP, Compliance Officer Environmental of HA Group. The position will represent the COE if they are unavailable.

Responsibilities
- Support the CO-E with monthly tasks. Serve as CO-E in their absence
- Monitor due dates on certain Env related PMS jobs
- Support shipboard teams with the interpretation of the regulations and procedures
- Review and comment on changes as put forward by MP&A
- Monitor ENV Investigation Reports on suggested corrective actions
- Review trends of the fleet outstanding PMS jobs
- Review and action EO monthly reports
- Resolve audit findings with corrective action suggestions
- Driving change as set out by the leadership
- Interface with all levels, departments, other operating lines and external parties
Requirements
- Degree in Science, Engineering preferred
- Maritime and/or Maritime regulatory certification preferred
- Minimum 10 years in the science or engineering field preferably in the maritime sector
- Environmental experience required, preferably in a regulatory environment
- Experience in a highly complex environment with a key skill of driving change
- Highly Organized with an eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interface with all levels, departments, other operation lines and external parties
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

- Base Salary Range: $127,300.00 to $171,800.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
