Job Description
Special Education teacher desired for a program for students in grades K-6 who need a smaller setting, higher staffing ratio, and a focus on social skills and positive behavior programming. Teacher should have a good understanding of behavior plans, be able to build positive relationships with students, and have a calm personality. Teacher must have leadership skills and initiative.
Candidates must hold a valid Maine certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsement(s).
Reports to: Building Principal
Work Schedule: 180 Day Contract

- Delivering strong literacy instruction across content areas;
- Helping student develop skills to apply, interpret, analyze, and evaluate the vast, ever-expanding amount of information;
- Employing effective lesson design by adjusting to students’ personal learning needs and preferences, including appropriate technology applications.
