The Customer Service Order Specialist acts as a liaison between the company and its customers/carriers. The primary responsibilities include processing orders to include order acceptance, order entry, logistics scheduling, and customer service. The Customer Service Order Specialist works as part of a team to assist the manufacturing and distribution functions while providing a high level of customer service. - Enter orders using the ERP system
- Review EDI orders
- Review orders for lead time, quantity, and pricing accuracy
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner via phone/email
- Provide documentation/support as needed to customers and vendors
- Communicate customer issues to sales department
- Schedule and confirm pickups/deliveries with approved carriers
- Anticipate and provide solutions to customer requests and needs
- Resolute in processing orders following FCFS
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, Accounting, Vinegar and Mill Room personnel
- Deliver consistent and reliable service as part of the order fulfillment process increasing customer satisfaction
- High School graduate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Great attention to details
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Highly organized
- Good problem solving skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to learn and identify process improvements
