Responsibilities:
Maintain ongoing participation in the daily operation of the RSVP Program/Community Center through the provision of various clinical and therapeutic activities.
Assist in implementing the established program policies, goals, mission and procedures as they relate to Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Programs. Provides comprehensive program services to assigned participants. Maintain participant caseload, provide individual counseling and peer-group re-education classes and perform scheduled assessments of new participants. Maintain accurate and up to date clinical and administrative records. Contribute to Performance Improvement and Service Excellence projects and activities. Conduct outreach to and develop linkage agreements with community resources. Prepare reports, maintain statistical data, attends meetings and participate on committees as assigned. Maintains confidentiality of all client information as required by law. Maintain skills and competence to work with criminal justice population in a secure setting. Maintain knowledge of DOC/BHS/RSVP regulations and new developments in a changing healthcare environment. Maintain all applicable certificates and security clearances. Represent agency with an ethical, fair and positive attitude. Responsible for safe escort or transport of participants as needed. Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must possess a minimum of one year of providing chemical dependency treatment service or two years experience as social worker or two years experience as a mental health counselor. DOC clearance for all jail-based positions. HS diploma or GED required. Social workers are required to have a Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited school. Mental Health Counselors are required to have a Master’s or Doctoral degree in mental health counseling from an accredited school. CASAC and/or other QHP preferred, except in cases where it is required to meet regulatory QHP staffing requirement ratios.
