Job Goal: To facilitate the individual student's use of speech and language processes in order to derive reasonable benefit from the district's educational program.

Qualifications:

1. Colorado Department of Education License: Special Services Provider, School Psychologist

2. Ability to accurately assess need and provide a range of appropriate services to students

3. Successful experience working with school age children.

4. Excellent interpersonal skills; skillful communicator with students, staff and parents

5. Knowledge of and experience with appropriate interventions

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of in the use of intelligence tests, personality assessments and behavior assessment/consultation.

2. Provide diagnostic evaluations to determine learning/emotional/behavioral needs of students.

3. Provide direct services to students through individual, small group, total class and family contacts.

4. Provide consultative services to staff and parents regarding social, emotional and behavioral needs.

5. Provide preventative mental health education.

6. Demonstrate understanding of components of RtI, particularly progress monitoring.
