International Project/Construction Management Firm is seeking a Project Manager (“PM”) for the following location:
- St. George area (near Zion), with limited travel
Construction Management & Development, Inc. (CM&D) is currently seeking a talented individual with recent demonstrated experience in high-end hospitality construction. The Project Manager will assume responsibility for the full life cycle of the project. Under the supervision of the Managing Director, the PM is responsible to lead project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to CM&D’s project management methodologies and standards. The PM, working closely and in concert with the client, will serve in a key role directing day-to-day project and construction management responsibilities and will be instrumental to the successful development, implementation, and delivery of multiple projects.
Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Management
· Responsible for managing day-to-day project activities. Under the supervision of a Project Director he/she is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and preparing cost exposure reports and cash flow projections, maintaining comprehensive budgets, monitoring and maintaining schedules.
· Civil/Infrastructure experience on large scale horizontal master plan projects that include cut/fill, grading, underground conduit, roads, curbs, buildings pads, etc. in the design, entitlement, permitting and construction phases.
· Manages daily staff assignments and participates in monthly staff meetings.
· Responsible for establishing and implementing a quality assurance and quality control program.
· Leads all project meetings.
· Prepares RFP/bid packages and manages the bid process
· Responsible for solicitation, evaluation and selection of the architect, other sub-consultants and the contractor/s.
· During the design management process, prepares estimates and value engineering analysis, peer reviews, and constructability reviews.
· Oversees the processing of submittals, requests for information, shop drawings, substitution requests, change proposals and change orders.
· Reviews and approves monthly payment requests, including lien waivers prior to certification by the Architect and payment by the Owner.
· Manages the preparation of daily and weekly reports, and prepares monthly reports that discuss, in detail, the status of the project.
· Works directly with Owner/Stakeholders of the project to insure project objectives are met.
Requirements:
REQUIRED:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration or Construction Management is required.
5 – 15 years of project management experience for Type 1 and Type 3 construction.
5 – 10 years demonstrated previous construction experience with full-cycle, large scale high-end hospitality projects.
Demonstrated Civil/Infrastructure experience on large scale horizontal master plan projects that include cut/fill, grading, underground conduit, roads, curbs, buildings pads, etc. in the design, entitlement, permitting and construction phases.
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Must have excellent writing and typing skills, be computer literate and capable of using multiple applications including but not limited to MS Office365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat; Microsoft Project; Cloud-based Filesharing (Eg. Box, Egynyte, Sharepoint); Construction Management apps (Procore, Egnyte, BuilderTrend, etc); and general Internet.
Must be located near St. George area, or relocate at own expense.
