Construction Estimator – General Commercial Construction - Base Salary to 130k/year + Bonus – Las Vegas, NV

• The Construction Estimator is a crucial player on this local team in Las Vegas. We specialize in project both private and public so the Construction Estimator will be responsible for a wide range of estimates for many differing projects. This person will be responsible for preparing estimates, calculating total cost of each project, and validating the project’s scope of work.

Responsibilities

• Read and outline project specifications
• Establish, write, and review all bid scopes for subcontractors for each project
• Assist with project logistics, staging, phase plans, and coordination
• Will set up Bid Day Summaries
• Will utilize estimation practices for CSI Divisions 1-46
• Must review and execute bid forms in a timely fashion
• Must be very detailed to review estimates for accuracy, risk, and constructability
• Will assist with writing constructability reviews
• Will work with our conceptual budgeting and preconstruction efforts to lead employees through those processes
• Participate in meetings/interviews with owners and subcontractors as needed

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in a Commercial Estimator’s position
• Must show demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail on estimates
• Experience estimating projects from $5 million to $100 million + in some cases
• Proficient level on Microsoft Excel or other Estimating platforms (Bluebeam, Sage 300, Buildertrend, Procore, Planswift, etc.)
• Must have experience with on-screen take-off
• Experienced with standard concepts, procedures, and programs within the construction industry
• Must have proficiency at reading blueprints, specifications, labor documents, material documents etc.
• Must have the ability to work in office full time and attend meetings in the field if necessary

Compensation

• Strong base salary up to 130k/year range more given the right estimating experience and portfolio
• 401(k) Retirement plan after 1 year of service, company matches dollar for dollar up to 4%
