HGA is seeking Construction Cost Analysts to support housing construction projects and perform home damage inspections in Hurricane Ida affected areas of Louisiana. As a CCA, you'll write storm damage assessment reports utilizing Xactimate X1 software and be responsible for scheduling appointments, producing sketches, and accurately translating information to generate reports. As a Construction Cost Analyst, you'll write storm damage assessment reports utilizing Xactimate X1 software and be responsible for scheduling appointments, producing sketches (including the roof), photographing the entire home (interior and exterior), and accurately translating information to generate reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Contact homeowners and schedule all appointments.
- Document activities and homeowner communications in Xactimate.
- Inspect all interior and exterior areas of each home, including crawlspaces, attics, and roofs.
- Take photographs, record scope notes, and complete checklists or other forms as required.
- Measure, diagram, and input floorplans, elevations, and other areas as required into Xactimate Sketch.
- Enter field data and eligible scope into Xactimate and generate estimates for completed work and prospective repair work.
- Balancing workload to ensure the timely submission of reports
- In addition the selected candidate may be asked to perform initial damage assessments, progress inspections and final inspections in accordance with program guidelines and requirements.
Construction Cost Analyst candidates should possess the qualifications identified below:
- A four (4) year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Three or more years of experience in construction management or experience providing specialized advisory service, including construction, financial, housing, and/or related industry knowledge.
- Experience with CDBG housing and/or FEMA hazard mitigation and similar programs/projects is preferred.
- Experience with insurance adjusting and claims processing preferred.
- Experience with residential construction preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, and effective interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills; knowledge of creating tables and graphs in Microsoft Excel; ability to quickly learn new software applications.
- The position will be mostly remote, requiring travel to storm affected areas (Mostly Eastern and Southeastern Louisiana).
