Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a Full Time / Charge Entry Specialist to join our Business Services Team in the Fort Myers, FL area. We are looking for a new team member who is -positive, energetic, able to multi-task and loves patient interaction. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience!

The Charge Entry Specialist receives charges from outside offices and bills using billing protocols utilizing Charge Capture and billing software as well as billing forms when necessary. S/he receives lists, validates shared visits, reconciles that charges are submitted for days of month by covering physicians/ARNP's, verifies charges are not duplicates to avoid inaccurate billing. S/he may need to communicate with providers and/or their representatives to insure billing is submitted timely. The Charge Entry Specialist works in PM system Workflow Dashboard reviewing claims for correction or release for hospitals and nursing homes. Charge Entry Specialist is cross trained in other manual charge entry, i.e., lab.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Collects charges from outside offices daily
• Prints charges form from external software daily
• Enters charges accurately
• Enter charges timely to meet deadlines
• Flexible to work in DX check in/out as needed
• Communicates professionally with other departments
• All dollar amounts captured in billing

Required Knowledge and Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
