NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS!

Positions are 6 hr/day and will be eligible for insurance benefits available the first of the month after employment begins!

You will be finished around 2:00 p.m. providing you time to take classes in the afternoon or evening, or to simply be home with your family. This is a great job for a college student or a parent who wants to work around their child's schedule!

We offer a set M-F schedule with the opportunity for extra time.

In order to be hired with School Food Service, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. Minimum eighth-grade education.

2. Knowledge of sanitation and safety requirements in a quantity food service operation, or the ability to learn.

3. Ability to follow directions, read and communicate in English.

4. Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators and other food service related personnel.

5. Completion of new employee workshop with thirty (30) days of hire.

6. Computer literate. District trainings are computer based.

7. Must be able to cashier or willing to learn.

Everyone is responsible for all parts of the day. You will be preparing the food by following exact recipes, serving the food during meal service, cashiering, as well as extensive cleaning. We do clean our own bathrooms (for the kitchen staff only) and everyone takes turns cleaning them, taking out trash, and working in the dish room. Everyone is responsible for all parts of the day.

In order to be hired with the School District, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. Pass a physical demand test where you will need to lift 42 lbs.

2. Pass a drug screen.

3. Pass a criminal background check. Please note that if you have a criminal case that is currently open, you will not be able to continue with the hiring process until your case has a final disposition.
