Baker, part-time
Glyka Sweets is a family owned and operated bakery in San Rafael. We offer traditional Greek cookies, pastries, breads and savory items. We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive baker to join our team!
Kitchen or baking experience is a plus! Great opportunity to learn how to bake and increase/improve your baking knowledge and skills!
This is a part-time job and these are some of the requirements we’re looking for:
- Assist/lead various tasks including measuring ingredients, preparing doughs, baking, packaging, developing recipes, prep work, cooking
- Operate bakery equipment safely and accurately
- Help keep a safe and sanitary work environment, including daily cleaning and deep cleaning of workbenches, mixers and other equipment
- Dishwashing using commercial machine
- Ability and stamina to reach, bend, squat and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Flexible business hours
- More hours available during holidays
- No weekends
- Open, honest, willing to ask questions and take initiative
- ServSafe certification within 30 days required
- Must take COVID-19 and kitchen sanitation precautions
- Must speak English
Pay: $16+ per hour DOE
