This job is a member of the Servicing Operations team within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for servicing of accounts and loans for American Airlines Credit Union members, including but not limited to adjustments, complex research and issue resolution, GL transactions/management, and record corrections. This role will support the Loan and Account Servicing Manager and team members by providing a positive experience with a focus on process efficiencies which reduce efforts needed for servicing loans and records.
What you'll do
- Process loan and account adjustments and corrections
- Research and resolve complex issues for consumer loans and accounts
- Process Collateral Protection Insurance maintenance, exceptions and adjustments
- Research and maintains general ledger transactions
- Maintain, update and test the core system as it relates to loan and account processes
- Maintain and update Servicing department policies and procedures
- Support frontline staff with loan and account procedural issues
- Provide backup support for the Loan and Account Servicing Manager
- Handle escalated calls
- Answer Department ACD calls
- Assist with training of all Servicing duties
- Process credit disability and life insurance claims
- Process GAP Claims
- Provide follow up documentation or information requested for insurance claims
- Process modifications and corrections for consumer loans and accounts
- Facilitate credit insurance premium processing, including reviews of exception reports
- Perform Credit Bureau file maintenance
- Research and resolve member credit bureau disputes and ensure responses comply with regulatory requirements Assists with other miscellaneous Loan and Account Servicing department duties
- The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Previous loan or account servicing or processing experience
- Experience and knowledge of systems: Episys, Synapsis and Excel-Intermediate/Advanced skillset
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff, and work closely with multiple departments
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and effectively implement change when needed
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and to research, analyze, and report data with little guidance
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and proficient in handling multiple projects/tasks
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with minimal supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
- Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
